A new state of the art dental health centre in Edinburgh is to be officially unveiled to the public today.
Scotlands Public Health Minister Shona Robison will take the covers off the brand new 'Richard Ibbetson Centre for Dental Education and Training', housed at the Lauriston Building.
The new facility has been named after the centre's leading clinician Professor Ibbetson, who is described as having been a chief developer of modern dentistry over the past 30 years.
Funded by the Scottish Government, NHS Lothian and NHS Education for Scotland, the dental centre will provide cutting edge dental care, research and training for patients and students .
Students will also be provided with the latest educational facilities, including life-like practice dummies.
According to health chiefs, patients will also now have access to a new clinical department and restoratitive dentistry centre.
