Dentist Among Winners Of UK Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

A dentist has been named the UK's consumer services entrepreneur of the year by professional services firm Ernst and Young .

Dr James Hull, CEO of Dr J D Hull and Associates Limited – Britain’s largest private dental chain, received the accolade at last week’s Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 awards ceremony, which was held at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel.

The panel of judges at the ceremony praised Dr Hull's ethical business model, saying it struck a balance between customer value and profitability.

James Hull and Associates was founded in 1986 and now includes more than 80 dental surgeries and over 300 dentists across the UK.

Dr Hull said the started the business to provide affordable dental healthcare to people, not to make a large profit.

The private dental chain offers patients a comprehensive range of services, from regular dental examinations and treatment such as fillings, orthodontic treatment and teeth whitening to dental hygiene and full cosmetic dentistry services.
