Dental Insurance - Excellent Benefits and Cover

WPA's Providental plan is designed to save you money whatever treatment you require. So even for routine check-ups, cleaning and filings, you'll be covered for 75% of the costs up to £250 per year. And if you are unfortunate enough to need emergency treatment or suffer a dental injury, the cover is very substantial indeed.

Please note that 25% shared responsibility applies to all benefits (except Hospital Cash Benefits).

What's Covered First Steps Level 1 Level 2 Annual limits per person
General Dental Treatment £250 per plan year
Covers treatment performed by a registered dental surgeon or dental hygienist in the general practice (a dentist's chair). There is a 3 month qualifying period before this cover commences.1
Dental Emergencies £1,000 per plan year (£250 per episode maximum of 4 per year)
Covers treatment for incidents of acute pain, swelling or a dental haemorrhage requiring an emergency dental appointment. There is a 14 day qualifying period before this cover commences.1
Dental Injuries £20,000 per plan year
Covers in- and out-patient treatment under the care of a Consultant Oral/Maxillo-facial Surgeon where injury has been caused by an external blow to the face, teeth or jaw.1, 2 & 3 This benefit is only provided following a dental emergency appointment (see above) or attendance at an Accident & Emergency Department. Evidence of this will be required.2
Defined Oral Problems £10,000 per plan year
Covers in- and out-patient treatment under the care of a recognised Consultant Oral/Maxillo- Facial Surgeon for any of the following conditions:1, 2 & 3
  • Treatment of oral cancer including reconstructive plastic surgery
  • Treatment of tumour of the mouth or jaw
  • Treatment of conditions of the salivary glands
  • Surgical removal of buried roots
  • Surgery to the temporomandibular joint
  • Treatment of bone cyst of the jaw (ie not tooth or gum cysts)

Covered. You will pay 25% of eligible fees until your contributions total £500. After this point WPA will pay 100% of eligible claims until your next renewal date.

Not covered.

3 Also provides cover for NHS cash benefit of £200 per night, where staying overnight as an NHS patient in an NHS hospital, up to £2,000 per plan year also provides benefit for Parent & Child hospital accommodation charges for up to 10 nights per year.
